Two teal EXD electric platforms working in a Scenic Rim field
Electrifying × Design

Do the heavy work. Skip the diesel.

Australian-built electric platforms with the muscle of a diesel machine — but no fuel, no fumes and no roar. From Hand-E, the world's first electric skid steer, to the Cyber Clydesdale.

The idea

Electric that earns its keep on a worksite.

Most “electric machines” are toys or compromises. EXD started with a harder brief: build platforms that do a diesel machine's job — lifting, loading, pushing — with a drivetrain clean and quiet enough to run inside a shed, and simple enough to maintain yourself.

The lineup

Electric tool carriers, built to make hydraulics redundant

A growing range of electric platforms, all in development — the Cyber Clydesdale is nearly there. Availability is honest: nothing here is “buy now”, so you register interest rather than pre-pay.

Cyber Clydesdale

The world's first 2-wheel electric skid-steer platform.

Hand-E

One electric power unit. Any tool. Wheels or tracks.

Why electric

Four reasons it's not just a diesel with a battery

Replaces hydraulics, not just diesel

A Powered Motion reduction gearbox and direct-drive BLDC motors deliver the grunt of hydraulics with the precision of electric — fewer hoses, fewer leaks, fewer failure points.

Zero emissions, works indoors

No fumes means these machines go where diesel can't — inside sheds, greenhouses, barns and enclosed sites — with none of the exhaust or fuel handling.

Quiet enough to talk over

Electric drive runs a fraction of the noise of a combustion machine. Easier on the operator, the animals, and the neighbours.

Fewer moving parts to maintain

No engine oil, no fuel system, no hydraulic pump. Swappable battery packs keep the platform working while a spare charges.

The drivetrain

Powered by Powered Motion

Every EXD machine runs on a Powered Motion drivetrain — a patented reduction gearbox with direct-drive BLDC motors that outputs around 10 kN, replacing the hydraulic circuit entirely. It's the IP that makes the whole range possible.
